Ingredients Organic turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black peppercorns, Kashmiri chilis. 1 oz.

Our golden turmeric seasoning is a special 2000+ year old Ayurvedic mixture from India and it's important to understand why we make this specific mixture. The curcumin in turmeric along with the other anti-oxidant spices are greatly absorbed with the presence of piperine, a substance in black pepper. It can be added to any food - stir fries, soups, gravies, breads, drinks (especially sports drinks) or used to make Golden Turmeric Milk AKA Golden Turmeric Tea (see recipe below).

Turmeric may be the most effective nutritional supplement in existence. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. According to HealthLine, "Unfortunately, curcumin is poorly absorbed into the bloodstream. It helps to consume black pepper with it, which contains piperine, a natural substance that enhances the absorption of curcumin by 2,000%. Curcumin helps your body fight foreign invaders and also has a role in repairing damage. It also increases the antioxidant capacity of our bodies.

Turmeric and especially its most active compound curcumin have many scientifically-proven health benefits, such as the potential to prevent heart disease, Alzheimer’s and cancer. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis." 1
