Basil pesto is a very versatile sauce that adds tremendous flavor to almost any dish. My favorite variety of basil is called Genovese which grows huge leaves and has an incredible aroma.
Ways to use pesto:
- Spread onto a sandwich, pizza crust or flatbread
- Dollop onto soups and stews.
- Toss with pasta for a classic Italian dish
